The Media Planner’s role is to coordinate and deliver integrated media frameworks in response to client briefs.

Knowledge of digital and awareness of the wider marketing mix, strong client-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects is crucial in this role. The ability to proactively build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exemplary service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of a coherent and consistent media planning methodology and processes
  • Development of integrated cross-channel strategy, documentation and media laydowns
  • Responsible for media, analytics (i.e. past client performance or industry benchmarks) and consumer insights collation, providing integrated responses to client briefs
  • Collaborate with multiple departmental leads to ensure suitable use of, and recommendations for, each marketing channel
  • Work with media owners and external partners to ensure plans are up to date with industry and platform changes
  • Attending all agency meetings to present plans and rationale
  • Maintain a high level of working and strategic knowledge across all channels and how they integrate
  • Thought leadership, including highlighting opportunities for innovation and contributing to agency marketing output
  • Support the idea generation, cross-functional coordination and work with Client Services to ensure successful implementation of these campaigns
  • Ensure consistent communication during the planning period and ensure the internal teams have visibility of each step within the process and expected strategies / workflows
  • Assistance with new business briefs and channel planning
  • Work with departmental leads to centralise projected performance of media plans

The Candidate

  • 6+ years of experience in digital
  • Established understanding of all major digital marketing channels including: Display, PPC, Social, SEO, Analytics
  • Preferably a strong background in paid media
  • An awareness of the wider marketing mix. Including ATL
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to lead projects independently while coordinating input from required specialists and external parties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy, able to deliver detailed, multi-channel plans and forecasts
  • A proven record with large, complex client campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of English grammar

Location: hybrid working both from home and our buzzing office in Soho

Holidays: 25 days, increasing with length of service, plus Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off; plus an additional 10 days ‘work from anywhere in the world’
